New Zealand Whale & Dolphin Trust New Zealand is one of the Worlds great hot spots for marine mammals. Of 77 species of dolphins and whales worldwide, 35 are recorded from our shores. Our research has provided a wealth of new knowledge, has uncovered some serious conservation problems and has made a major contribution to finding solutions to these problems. The Whale and Dolphin Adoption Project A non profit organisation based in New Zealand, dedicated to raising funds for marine mammal researchers, education and conservation.
